Anticorrosive Coatings

Corrosion is the deterioration of a metal by reactions with the environment. The speed at which it occurs is influenced by factors such as: the nature of the metal, relative humidity and environmental contaminants. For this reason, it is important to select a coating system suitable for each particular case.

The experience and background of Aplika Control Corrosion has allowed us to know the needs, specifications and existing particularities for each project in each of the different industrial sectors. That is why it offers a complete range of protective coatings that range from simple industrial applications to the most demanding applications in special conditions.

The specialized products offer quick return to service, longer life, low VOC emissions and high performance, to guarantee the protection of structures in different conditions (atmospheric, buried or immersed).

  • Atmospheric exposure

Systems suitable for every need and corrosive environment present in industry (ISO 12944).

  • Buried Service

Selection of coatings on buried structures, either for new projects or maintenance projects with or without cathodic protection.

Due to the different variables present in soils such as: moisture content, size and compaction of grains, eddy currents, resistivity, pH, amount of oxygen, salts, organic matter and difficulty of inspection, the buried service is considered critical.

  • Inmersion Service

For the selection of the coating system in structures that are going to be submerged or are going to store some substance, we must determine all the conditions to which the coating is going to be submitted:

  • Chemical conditions
    • Type of substances to be stored and the concentrations in which they are found.
    • Impurities present and the concentrations in which they are found.
    • Solids or sediments present.
  • Operation conditions
    • Presence of Agitation.
    • Operating temperature range.
    • Operation pressure.

In the case of storage tanks we take into account the factors already mentioned, along with the corrosion attacks that can be generated in each of the parts of the tank: constantly immersed area, liquid-vapor interface, area above the liquid level and the bottom of the tank.
